Memories….

I was cleaning out our buffet drawers last night and came across an SD card. I had no clue what could be on it, who knows how long it had been in there.  I popped it in the computer today and found some pictures. One in particular made me laugh.

This was the girl’s first halloween costumes. Kenedee is the ladybug with cousins Erin (heffalump) and Madeline (pumpkin).  They all looked so stinkin cute. Once again, just a reminder that she is getting older, it doesn’t seem like this was that long ago, but it was 2 years ago.

So Grown

While we were in OKC over the weekend we had some pictures taken. This is one of my favorites of our little miss KJ. She did surprisingly well with the pictures after not having a nap for a couple of days. She will be three soon, I can’t believe how fast it goes. She is no longer my little baby anymore, although I find myself calling her baby a lot, she is now becoming my little girl.

Off to Oklahoma

We are headed to Oklahoma this weekend to visit my in-laws. I am very fortunate to have in-laws that I love and adore and no I’m not just saying that because they read my blog. They really are great! Kenedee has been so excited all week to go, every day she asks “Do we go see Mimi and Papa Ken and Aunt Mis today?” So I’m sure when she wakes up this morning and asks she’ll finally get a yes.

My sister-in-law’s husband just returned from Iraq a few days ago. So, she is throwing a big homecoming party for him. It should be fun, I’m anxious to here some of his stories. I am sure Mis is so glad he is home, I can’t imagine Kyle being away from me for more than a week. So, it should be a good weekend, I’m sure I’ll have pictures to share when we return.

So Blessed

In honor of pastor appreciation month, our church family had a luncheon for us yesterday. Kyle and I were overwhelmed by all the gifts, cards, and words of encouragement. We are so blessed to be at Trinity and to have such a loving church family. Everyone went above and beyond what we would have ever expected.Kenedee was even thought of and received a few gifts of her own. The day far exceeded anything we expected. Kyle and I would have been fine with just the lunch. So, a big thank you goes out to everyone, we were truly blessed.

Family Night #6

Once again we did our family time during the day. We went with a pumpkin theme. Today was the perfect fall day, there was that nice crispness in the air. We went to the pumpkin patch and picked out a few.

We thought it was still a little early to carve out pumpkins, so we decided to let Kenedee paint one of them. Plus, she’s not too into getting her hands all messy with the pumpkin seeds and mushy inside.

For food, I found a great recipe for pumpkin pancakes. Very good!

This was the finished product, she is so proud of it.

We also used this day as an opportunity to set out our fall decorations.

I love love love this time of year. I’m hoping it stays around for a little while to give us time to enjoy it.

It was my husband’s idea

So, Kyle was wanting me to post this poll. He was interested to know how my blog readers are voting. For some reason I just felt weird adding this poll, wasn’t sure if it was PC, but then he reminded me that it is anonymous.

Christmas in October

So I’m driving to work the other morning and on one of the radio stations I frequently listen to is Christmas music playing. I thought maybe it was just like a special thing they were doing because it was way early in the morning. However, much to my surprise, on the way home there was Christmas music playing again. They are now the holiday radio station until Christmas. I could not believe it. Also, while in Target the other day, they already had aisles of Christmas items set up, same thing in Lowes. Don’t get me wrong I love the holiday season and all, but I want to enjoy my fall season first. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
